McNasy

I got it done but it was such a mess and they wired it somehow into the passenger side air bag and the selector switch was all screwed up and the selector led lights didn’t work right.

I really don’t know what they were trying to do or how they did it.

A Dodge dealership fixed a lot of it for me and I didnt even ask them to work on it when I got my truck back from other work being done it came back fixed?

I never asked why they did it they never charged for the extra work?

Chasing wires is no fun.

Most of the ground are black, some have tracers. You're going to need to dig up a wiring diagram to help you. I've been using the 2001 as the 2002 nearly identical. You can download it on this site.

It does sound like a bad ground. Power seeks ground sometimes through other devices and all sorts of weird things happen.

If you can post pics maybe we'll see something obvious.

The red wire that taps in near the CTM - it looks like a red with green tracer wire on the CTM connector?? That's a feed to the CTM.

Help me out with the upper black with white tracer. What color wire does it tap into on the CTM connector??

What color is the wire on the lower end of the diode? Can you trace that at all?

How about the tap under the diode?

How about the one tucked under, underneath the diode?

Do you have an aftermarket audio system or anything?

Thanks 98.

I saved the pic and zoomed in but can't tell the other (factory) end of the wires.
