blower motor resistor
I'm new to the forum. I've got a 2000 dakota sport, recently acquired. Looking for the location of the blower motor resistor. Have done some reading. It's not under the cowl, etc. as mentioned. It's not to be found on passenger side footwell area, been all around. Am I going to get to take the dash out again? Thanks for any help.

It should be up under the cowl you can’t actually see it with your eyes you need a mirror or a scope to see the thing that’s why you need to be Gumby to get to it.
You can only feel it by sticking your arm up under the opening under the cowl
It’s a major pain in the ***
You will have the old style resistor if your system is operated by vacuum how do you tell that if you A/C controller is mounted vertically in the dash it’s a vacuum system if it’s mounted horizontally its an electric servo system with the newer resistor inside the cab
Click on my sig bar below and do some reading

Well, the resistor is installed, blower still not working.Looking at the list posted on another thread by 98DAKAZ, going to try the relay. The installed relay "clicks" in 3 different control positions. Does this sound right. I don't have the tools to test it.
I really hate fishing trips, and for sure don't need the hosing down I'd get from the dealer....Thanks .
