This morning I checked with the local auto repair, they said it didn't have a fan and clutch on it when they replaced the water pump. I called the local boneyard and they finally found one about 500 miles away (fan only $75.00 + tax). I called another Dodge Dealer and talked to parts and the repair shop manager, both said the same thing that that model didn't have a mechanical fan and clutch, so I am really confused at this point about what to do. I'm dubious about the boneyard, wants payment in advance and no return on special order, plus he said that was the only one in the U.S.A. I think I'll replace the relay and temp sensor (under $50) and see what happens.

Thanks, imaknucklehead here again. I looked at that site and I only saw a listing for Cooling Fan (Rad and Con mtd). I called a couple of those places in Texas and they said it was the electric fan mounted on the radiator and condenser. I was hoping to see a listing for cooling fan (Water Pump and Clutch mtd) they said they didn't have one for that. Anyway, sorry for being so much trouble and Thanks for your patience and time.

OODakDan, I just went back to that site and checked under Fan Blade (duh) and found one in New Brunfels. When I started pressing the guy to put his hands on it and hold it for me (160mi round trip) he began to stutter. At first he said he would have to order it in, then he said it had already been scrapped. That was the only listing I could find.

Just for kicks I tried to find one for my truck and all that comes up is the electric fan as well. You might just have to take the list of "compatible models" and check the yards out yourself.

Even Autozone sells the fan clutch for it.

Did you try the link '98DAKAZ sent? It has some.

Yeah, I looked at the link 98DakAZ sent. The J.C. Whitney fans all have those small mounting holes like the one Autozone had, they mount from the front but the Dak fan mounts from the back and it needs a large hole to let that big screwed fitting pass through. The Mopar link looked promising but when I click on the fan it says no longer available for purchase. So your suggestion about walking the boneyards and looking for compatible models may be my only option. Whatever you do don't let yours get away and wind up like me, this is nuts! Thanks again for all the help guys! I'll give an update when I've got a solution, might save somebody else all these headaches

Hey question-

What direction does the W/P spin on the 3.7? If it is the same as my 3.9, the threads should be universal and the clutch/fan dimensions should be real similar, being both a V6.
