Yes ASD its also called engine relay an on mine its beside the fan relay in the lower left corner [ cut off in pic] under spare.
But yea it sounds like pump issue but check wiring to it also.
Ive heard the carters have really fallen off. Delphi is hit or miss and bosch really depends on when you catch a good deal, but no one talks about if they fail.
I've not had a problem with either Delphi or Carter, but if you're not comfortable with them Denso and Mopar make decent pumps. Bosch used to be a decent brand back in the 80s but I won't use any of their stuff these days.
I may try the Delphi. Denso doesnt make the 24 gallon tank pumps or at least there isn't one publicly listed in their catalogue and since I have to drop the tank again. I did swap out the asd relay with ebl to no change. I used the iac wiggle test on my ds708 and I will say that was almost as impressive as holding the throttle open to 60%. Constant rpm up and downs and fuel pressure behins to crap.
So it dropped to 45 PSI over the course of an hour. Also noticed now that the pump can be heard clearly while running and the pitch oscillates up and down. Definately starting to think the pump is faulty. I cant determine if any of the injectors are causing a problem yet. Scan tool indicates ASD is engaged up until the engine stalls (Still cant find this relay)
45 PSI is where mine runs at when I tested it. Seems to be avg pressure for the 4.7 as that's what I kept coming across when researching. My issue turned out to be the pump relay. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ying-320k.html

You won't find a Denso for the QC's 24 gallon tank. Did the research but ended up not needing. Delphi is roughly $133 on rockauto.com. Go there and search for part # FG1081
So this is a video from basically start to finish. Engine is off over night. I crank it and toggle the throttle. Please excuse the stability of the video. Also I have a delphi pump coming and yesterday I played with sorting several relays into the asd as well as the fuel pump.
Ok, replacement delphi pump seems to have solved it. Now onto the smoking passenger front wheel. It smells, but I have not pulled the wheel off. Rotor is very shiny on the backside with no striations like the driver side has. Rotor was also considerably warm so I'm leaning towards a stuck caliper over faulty bearing
Might be a bad brake line too. When the soft lines break down internally, they start acting like one-way valves. Stomp the brakes hard, try and turn the wheel. Really stiff? Crack the bleeder open. If the wheel is now easier to turn, replace the brake line. (and since it's a front line, replace BOTH of them. They are the same age, after all.)

Myself, I'd replace all three. Two front and one from the frame to the rear axle. They don't get the same abuse as the fronts, but they age the same rate.
