That's a very informative article, and really shows you can't just do something and expect it will be an improvement.

Thanks Steve

running back to back tests, air box tape vs open... with the 70mm + MIT it seems like there is more bottom end tq w/o the tape.

Also FYI, barring any unforeseen events... this weekend the Dak is getting:
.
  • CCV update (assuming I can find the parts locally),
  • 180* stat, fan clutch delete,
  • HPT tune update for fan control
  • Royal Purple in both front & rear diffs.
  • DTCM swap

yes it is... I have to get this thing moving along... I will say that with the 2 latest mods, TB & MIT, it drives way different than it did before the mod. Both are definitely worth it. Even if the MIT pulls from mpg's some, the mid range bump between 2000-3000 rpms during acceleration makes it a keeper.

Might be able to have the ebay seller make another one, ship it to the people in Kent then forward to you? Might be pretty expensive. Might be cheaper to find a motorhead over there and see if he can do the mods for you on a stock TB...

Throttle body Spacer discussion... 4.7 Throttle Body Spacer with 70MM TB - DodgeForum.com

I am motivated, first was just looking for some 1st hand feedback but that has changed... when I get to it the plan will be to restore the fan test chamber, modify it to allow me to evaluate the TB, TBS, MIT and the air flow thru the manifold. Will have to get a manifold when the time comes.
