Hey guys so check this out, i knew i had to sync my injectors but no matter what i did i just couldn't even get it close, so i was debating, take it to a dealership or buy the snap on scanner, either way looked to be expensive so last night i was on Amazon looking around and came across a Bluetooth obd2 scan tool and reading through the info on it it said something about injectors pulse so i gambled and bought it..... Little over $100 bucks but guess what, it worked, under special functions wasa setting for injectors sync tapped on it and bam, instantly my truck smoothed right out, no more poping through intake no backfire, idles nice gas smell gone no stalling i mean it was like someone waved a magic wand. If i can I'll upload a pic of it but it's called thinkdiag it claimed to have manufacturer software and even claims to flash pcms so if anyone is interested I'd definitely look into it

Ok guys just thought y'all would like to know I've got this truck that was dead for 5 years that no one could get running, purring like a kitten. Got it tagged and insured earlier this week and i gotta say, it's not a bad little truck, so for those wondering I'll break down everything i had to do to get it to this point.
  1. 1. Chased down all factory splices in wire harness and repaired bad ones.
  2. 2. New vin programmed pcm
  3. 3. New coil
  4. 4. Reinstalled dist that was 180 out
  5. 5. New crank sensor (aftermarket)
  6. 6. New map sensor
  7. 7. New intake air temp sensor
  8. 8. New cap and rotor
  9. 9. New plug wires
  10. 10. New multi function switch
  11. 11. Injector cleaning at the rail
  12. 12. New crank sensor (mopar, after non-stop loss of cam or crank sensor dtc's}
  13. 13. New plug wires
  14. 14. New battery
  15. 15. New front passenger side brake line
Plus a slew of other problems not engine related i fixed like no turn signals, bought new multi function switch but turned out whoever had the truck before me had swapped the combination flasher out with the a/c blower relay....smdh.... So now my turn signals and a/c work lol, found a factory radio at the pick and pay plugged it in and worked but all my speakers were blown so replaced them, also found a glove box with working latch and put it in, actually i put the latch from that one on mine so the trim package codes and vin still match. 2 new {used} rims and tires to complete the set plus one for spare, just need the center caps so if anyone has any they can get rid of.... Just saying..... So all and all I've probably put $1000 to $1200 in this truck so hopefully it will last me a little while. Buying some freon tomorrow to top off the a/c and the last thing it will need is a power steering pump as this one leaks.... Bad. Took me 6 weeks what no one else around here could do in 5 years, maybe they just didn't think it was worth it but i feel a sense of accomplishment anyways lol so I'm happy and i appreciate all the help i got from everyone on here, don't think it would be running if not for y'all. Thanks everyone!
Wayne R.
P.S. seriously if you have an extra set of wheel center caps please let me know!

Likely folks didn't want to pay the local labor rates for someone to fix the truck. As you were doing the work yourself, that cost just disappears. (which is a serious advantage of doing your own work....)

Congrats on the truck. Should be a fun driver for ya.
