Default JTEC OBD2 Protocol Question

This might be a question that @master tech can only answer, but i'll take all input.

My 01 uses J1850 VPW, which I would assume be the same for all 01-04 JTEC using the one-wire PCI Combuss.

However, I don't have access to 97-00 to be able to find out if they are the same? Since they use the two-wire CCD combuss, are they also J1850, or are they ISO9141?

Even thro they are same type DLC connector. They are to different systems. Yes the CCD buss has two twisted pair of wires, D 1 and D 2. Plus and Neg. The reading if you wanted the voltage is 2.4 to 2.5 volts. The DVOM will read the plus and neg voltage. The PCI came out in mid year 2004, So a scanner that was used for the early year would either need a updated scanner or in the case of the DRB3 that the dealer uses would need a super card to read the vehicles with CCD buss The DRB3 would be replace with the Star scan. For years 2005 thru 2009 because if the PCI buss and gearing up for the Can buss system and later with High speed can system. So yes the PCI is a single twisted pair of wires and the voltage can be check the same way with a DVOM. 2.4 to 2.5 volts. Mopar is now making changes again on the Buss circuits and The way to scan them. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. Leonard

Thank you @master tech and @hidden1 .

I also found this while on the plane digging the trenches of Google. Slide 11 also stats that ISO-9141-2 K-Line is used for OBD2 compliance on the CCD bus. So I think that's the answer I was needing. Thank you!
