Failing sensor? Maybe a vacuum leak in the canister purge system? Glitch in the matrix? Unfortunately, there are too many things that *might* cause it. Narrowing it down might require doing some data logging.
Governor pressure sensor code, isn't it? If so, just change the sensor and solenoid, and call it a day. Get the Borg Warner Heavy duty set. They work great, and solve a bunch of problems.
I havent had time to really look at data but whats it saying on that code ..? reverse clutch solonoid or gov switch or what? On the service manual.. Im sure i can change it out but want to be acurate..an confirm voltage to it tooUPDATE..that service manual jumps from p1736 to 1775. ! .makes no sence unless its some generic code..
A/T Transmission Relay Circuit Malfunction is what I find. There isn't a reverse clutch solenoid in the trans.....
Basically, PCM thinks the trans is losing power. Could be a bad fuse, bad relay, or a bad connection somewhere. (most likely down at the trans.) Of course, some of the descriptions say "Trans relay always on"..... which would imply that even with the engine off, the trans relay is still on. And it shouldn't be. That one is easy to test.
Yes I just got done cleaning the connector an switching over relays ..an checking the fuses ..gonna test drive it..
on that connector which pin is in an out to trans pcm
Thanks !!! I have a 1995 to 01 mitchel w CDs an loved it all even that transmission version an wiring diagrams..heres a diagram. So far it hasn't returned since switching relays an cleaning an securing harness..I may test the connector if it comes bk..
