Ring and Pinion Question
I like running 32" tires on my DAK but rpms are about 200-300 below what I'd like at 60 mph. I have the 3.90 ratio and would like to go to the 4.10 or 4.11 in front/rear differentials (rear diff is a 8.25"). Anyone have a recommendation for a good R&P source and what I could expect to pay for parts and installation?

RE: Ring and Pinion Question
Heres a good website that sells good parts for good price heres the prices. id get the ring and pinion and get the master rebuild kit as well which is only like 68 bucks which replaces everythign in your rear and front axle i mean why not might as well if you allready got it open. Also the manufactor is genuine gears which i hear is a good reliable brand. heres the site for the rebuild kit http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/produ...U&expand=sub11
and heres the site for the gears for your axle http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/produ...NU&expand=sub4
There a littel under 200 bucks a pop so your looking at both front and rear close to 420 with shipping and then a additonal 70 bucks for the rebuild kit which is gaskets and all internal parts other then the gears and pinions. Then a shop will probely charge you 200 -350 an axle

lol i hear ya on that your best bet would be buy a littel at a time lol probely buy all that parts in 2 months or so with out any complinats from the women...lol just keep her occupied with stuped littel tihngs liek flowers and crap lol. By the way nice truck you got going there. BUt ya when looking for that kinda stuff hit up the good old 4 wheel part stores they usally got the best stuff for the job at a good price that site also has good charts for helping you determine tire size to rear end gearing needs which a 4.10 will take beutifeal care of the 32s pretty much eqaul you out to what your stock ride is with stock tires.

"Don't pull on Superman's cape, you'll run outta luck, don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger, and don't tell a man about his truck".
(excuse me for ruining that song)
Duh, I know a 8.25 when I see one, especially when its on a truck I've owned and worked on for 7 yrs now!!! The good news is the 8.25 has a much better service record than the 9.25.[8D]
