Default 180 Thermostat for 4.7L and exhaust

Does anyone know where I can pickup a 180 degree thermostat for my 03, 4.7L? I've been looking at all the local places and nobody has one. Only thing they have is the 195 degree OEM for +$20. Although I have seen on other forums where part #45358 on partsamerica.com will work, I was curious if anyone here would know for sure. Or might be able to point me to someone online that sells them.

Also, I am looking at getting dual exhaust, but am undecided on what muffler to get. I want it loud outside but not deafening inside. Would the Flowmaster 40 be too much? Any suggestions?

Look around for a Jet t-stat I picked up a 180* t-stat at auto zone a few weeks ago and popped it in and the thing failed on me this week. Jet is good quality and you shouldn't have any problems like I did... Also a t-stat shouldn't cost you more than $15.

Flowmaster 40 is what I have and had on my 03 Dakota too, seems to be one of the most popular and just sounds great.....nice and deep at idle, good power sound when you get on it and at freeway speeds you do not hear it unless you push down on the gas peddle.....I really like mine I didn't do anything fancy like duals out I just had the old stock replaced and a nice 3" chrome angel cut tip put on and it was like $151.00 out the door, got better throttle responce and gas mileage, added a CAI and got even better results.

any 180 stat from a 5.2 or 5.9 v8 will work. i use napa 5300080. i took this 180 stat out of my 97 5.2 and installed it in my 05 4.7. had to make a notch in the side of it for the notch in the housing. should cost no more than 10.00. also i am running the imco single 3 inch exhaust. sounds great and gives truck good low end torque. last dyno run was 214 at the wheels and 298 ft of torque

im still trying to talk someone else into my exhaust. its a hooker aerochamber single in dual out with 2 1/4 inch pipes with 3.5 inch tips..sounds pretty quiet on the inside but is pretty loud on the outside. i had my friend drive it and i was behind him and it sounds absolutly amazing plus it doesnt have the annoyingly constant crackling like flowmasters which is cool at first but got old..at least for me on my jeep. the aerochamber is really deep sounding and racy sounding plus its a chambered muffler but you can see straight thru it. heres a clip of it before i got the high flow cat on it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=hFu1ZbNWkx4and heres one after i got the high flow cat kinda short cuz my camera stopped working but u get the point http://youtube.com/watch?v=taoKPIOcTDctry it out so im not the only one lol

YES. THE ONE ON THE LEFT IT THE STAOCK 195 RIGHT IS THE 180. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS DREMEL A LITTLE NOTCH FOR THE GASKET. ALSO IF YOU GET THE JET. I THINK THEY COME WITH THE GASKET FOR ABOUT 50.00

You can get a Jet t-stat for like $12.00. The gasket is cheap as hell too.
