Default Best Battery for 2005 Durango 4.7L V8

What's going on Durango lovers!
Any other recommendations other than what I'm running now Interstate Mega Tron II MT-65 CCA 675, CA 845. I need more Cold Cranking Amps and Cranking Amps for a 2005 Durango 4.7L V8? Interior dome light has drained battery on 2 separate occasions when tail gate was left open for a short period of time (1 hour).
Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up Best Battery

Thank you for responding. Battery has been tested at Advance Auto Parts, Results were good. Just can not leave tail gate open for an extended period of time or battery will drain.

That's likely going to remain the case, even with a new battery. Isn't there a switch to disable the lights?

I cant imagine a dome light draining a battery in one hour....maybe replace the bulb with an LED one....

I also can't see a dome light draining a battery that fast. What voltage is your battery with the vehicle turned off should be around 12.6vdc? You might have a weak charging system or resistance in the charging circuit that isn't fully charging the battery. You should have at least 13.6vdc while the engine is running. I prefer to see 14+.

And to answer your question. You can never go wrong with an Optima Red Top for normal auto applications.
