Default Good Transmission for tuned neon?

Oh and by the way, my transmission is slowly going out, it slippes between 2nd and third, and sometimes will not go into overdrive, with all the mods I have, I also have the AF/X street strip pcm which when I bought it, I was told that they wear the trans. down quicker, but I have an automatic and never really go over the 6500rpm, even though the new redline is 7500. So my question is does anyone know of a good aftermarket transmission to put into a weekend racing neon? I go to the track about 2 times a month in it and want something with better shifting and possibly different gearing, the only place in my town that does transmissions sells jasper racing transmissions and wants 2200 to put a new one in, that sounds great to me but Ive heard that b&m sells one but I havent found it? Anyone know of any good transmissions? Its a 2001 automatic 3 speed.

Thanks guys.

The 03-05 neons have very good trannys compared to 00-02s so you could find a new version for your tuned neon.

well what the hell do you think you are goign to spend on an aftermarket trans..... and just so you know you will have to replace the torque converter as well with a fairly exspensive one to match a trans.... honestly i dont know of any aftermarket auto transmissions, but you can google for a custom trans shop maybe they can help you but you are looking at prolly 2-4 grand just for the trans im betting..... and how much power are you putting down that you need a new trans...?

at the wheels a little under 247hp, with the nitrous. And that has a lot to do with the transmission saying fairwell. I might just have to go with the jasper racing transmission, he told me it could hold up for well over 300hp applications, but if one day I ever decide to tubo it, I just wanna have it ready for more hp.

247 my ***. Unless you've got about a 150 shot on there. Which you don't cause your car probably wouldn't be running right now if you did. I'd say manual trans as well, but if I had an auto I wouldn't have tried to make it fast either.
