Default I can't Pick

okay for my car's stereo system i've got a sony xplod gtx 610 deck, sony front and rear speakers(still need to put them in) and i was going to get http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7676026&type=product&pro ductCategoryId=cat03081&id=1141763329182
as my sub but now i've decided against it and can't pick a sub and i'm tempted to get this amp: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...177386,00.html
but it'd be a 4 hr or so drive to get it

but if i do get a sub i might just end up getting a 2nd one exactly the same i haven't decided so any suggestions?

Alpine is really good for the price, sound, and power. You can get a 12" Type-R online for around $110. Best Buy has them for $200 I think. They're like 600 watts RMS and 1500 watts max.

Type-R has great reviews, except one idiot who blew his sub.

yeah but that happens when you put a amp that is way to powerful for the sub. you need to go off the rms and not the peak

Exactly why the guy is an idiot for blowing it.

The guy in the first post has basically the same amp I have. Mine is rated at 1112 watts RMS with 2 outpust, so like 556 watts RMS per sub. Subs run 600 watts RMS and sound great with a decent box. I haven't gotten it installed in my Neon yet but it sounded great in my Mustang.
