Default R/T exhaust questions.

I have an 05 SXT

Im seriously considering the r/t exhaust.

I dont want the vibrant cause it hangs down too low amd the borla and magnaflow cost toooo much. i just want the dual look.

What will the r/t sound like?
Will I need any adapters?
Will i have to make cutouts on my bumper?
Anything else i need to know for installation?
Any pics?

Yes, you need an adaptor because the R/T midpipe has a larger diameter when it tapers at the end.

Will i have to make cutouts on my bumper?
You dont have to, just like with the other dual exit exhaust options, but it always looks better with the cutouts IMO.

Nope, its a pretty simple unbolt the old muffler and install the new one.

Any pics?
I have one picture in my gallery...

i have a question. i will be getting a neon before i go to college this spring and when i get it thefirst thing i want to get is cold air intake and a dual exhaust set up of somesort.

i want something that will have a good smooth deep exhaust tone and not sound like a stinkin ricer with a fart pipe on it.

which would be best?

magnaflow is good, as is the R/T, borla is top of the list but too much for a lot of us to afford. i have links to vids of my Magnaflow Catback SS, but will post in a lil while im at school right now so.....you can also do the SRT rear section with some sort of glasspack. which would be the cheapest setup

The best dual exhaust for a neon is a borla or magnaflow those are two stainless steel ones also and they both have the sound your lookin for . For a intake a ebay one would be cool with a k&n filter or an aem or k&n typhoon all nice intakes for neons.
