03 RT 2.0 power loss?
A year ago I noticed an occasional 40%+- low end( 2-4500rpm) power loss. It became about half the time 6 months ago. Now it's 95% of the time. Dodge has had the car for 8 days but can't find anything. No codes ever. New plugs and wires. Fuel inj service. Always a 2-3 second delay in throttle response, even at 5000rpm, you punch it and wait too see if it'll go or not. Sometimes it just doesn't go!!Lower end power is most affected although 20% of top power is also gone. I don't think it is worn out as once in awhile it all comes back and really hauls butt, just like when I first bought it. Prob started at 84000kms and car now has 95000kms. Any idea's welcome, I'll just have to throw more money at it till I find it. Please help, this sucks!!!

Check the ignition coil. When they go out, they'll drop 1 or 2 cyclinders under excelleration. A coil pack will run you about $100. Sometimes this problem will cause a code of P0300 which is random misfire, sometimes it won't. Sounds to me like it has not since Dodge can't find it.

RE: 03 RT 2.0 power loss?
Thanks for moving me to 2nd gen. also thanks for the idea's. Is it possible that the cat is plugged up?? I run the car quite hard although it already had 79000km's on it. Is there a test for clogged cat?? Is there a test for weak ignition coil or just replace it to cover all angles? I'm not made of money but I need to get my R/T running good again, it's my piece of the good life when it hauls!! Great site!!

graphite you added a space at the end. theres teh fixed link
anyway, have you changed the air filter, and if you are going to replace/upgrade your coil pack, i would suggest a screamon demon pack its 67.50 i think at howellautomotive.com
