but if u live in california dan 30 bucks might end up costing u hundreds to pay a referee. it doesnt have a C.A.R.B number so if i were to have one and it didnt have dat sticker i will get a fatass ticket and my car might end up for inspection so to me i rather go wit a brand name dat comes wit a sticker to be safe.

I disagree. I've heard about quality problems with the ebay ones too many times...
I think you should look at this like Coca-Cola v.s Supermarket Cola, they both put liquid inside you but the name brand tastes better because they have an actual recipe. The Supermarket Cola has too much sugar added to compensate...
In my mind, the ebay CAI is probably backward engineered from some name brand.

I think he meant the cone K&n filter. Those are the only filters that I think fit our 2nd gen neons . The other type only fit 1st gens I thought.
Yes, i have a cone type K+Nin my stock box. thanks for clearing that up for me.

Im not picky about name brands to me the best intakes out there are the mopar and injen which are really nice if you have a srt4 like I did. I just love my ebay intake and I have heard time and time again how bad the typhoon and aems are more than the ebay intake. To me a intake is an intake the filter is what matters the most and thats the k&n or mopar brand.

Odd...because I've never experience, read, or heard ANY problems with K&N or AEM cold air intakes on 2.0 SOHC Neons.

Go check out 2nd gen forums and neon org Ive seen some threads about them in the past about problems our neons have had with the typhoon and aems. Not saying all of them out bad just some mostly the short rams I had a short ram typhoon in my sxt at the beginning and that one was horrible.

I'm on both forums and my previous post still stands. I just dont like the inconsistencies you have about intakes...

I said in the past like awhile back . I just had a really bad time with the typhoon short ram intake I had already . Yours may be nice if you dont have a short ram kind . I would love to have in injen or mopar intake if they made one for our 2.0 sohcs like they do the srt4s. My injen in my acr was awesome .

I have a AEM one for about 2 years now and am very happy with it. Has given me no problems and sounds awesome!
