Default CAI Opinion

hey everyone...Im lookin to swap my stock air intake with CAI, but I've heard talk about that not being a good idea in areas with usually cold climates..I'm in Michigan where the winters can get real cold and I drive the car in the winter...How true is it that it's not good to have CAI in cold climates and whats a good kit to buy at a decent price? I was thinking of going with a standard Ebay kit to get the piping and just toss the filter that comes with it and put a K&N filter on instead...good idea? bad idea? recommendations / opinions are appreciated! thanks!

good idea. i dont think the colder climates would effect CAI ina bad way. I think it would actually be better since you getting colder air. Ebay piping and the K&N filter is good idea it would save you alot of money too

I have had a ebay intake for 2yrs now and never had a problem they are just as good as a aem or k&n just run a k&n cone filter on it and your set. Got mine for 30bucks shipped and the filter for 25bucks shipped brand new. I also use a cf filter for shows which is 25bucks shipped also and its like the k&n .
