Thanks for info. There haven't been any major mods done to the motor. There is a K & N air filter in place of the stock one. It does have an under under drive street pulley, which replaced the race pulley (to get the power steering back), And racing exhaust. I believe its called something like MK or MX exhaust, stage 3. It has had a weight reduction done to it so the air conditioning pump has been removed and there is no spare tire. Im told the maintenance has been kept up before I bought it. Plugs and wires don't even have 3000 miles on them. Overall mileage is just over 111000. Most of my driving is at 50 mph on county roads, mostly.

 

I remember reading a post at another forum, 2GN.org, I think, that suggests that neons actually can run ethanol without any negative consequences. I run E15 in mine and I don't notice anything out of the ordinary. I have a bad rod knock, but that's not due to any quality fuel. I also use Lucas fuel additive every once in a while just to keep things running smoothly.

 

You'll get worse gas mileage with E15, if you are worried about it at all.

 

I get around 200 miles a tank on my neon city/highway. If it's all just highway I can get 325 miles on it.
