belt tensioner
#11
Going to replace my pulley and and belt today. Going with a gates pulley and gates blue belt. Will let ya know if I get any problems, failures.
To each his/her own, but you really should use a 11/16" wrench on the boss to manipulate the belt tensioner. It has more "grip" than a pry bar and is a little safer for the other hands' fingers.

Well worth doing this job.....the quoted dealer price for the tensioner & aluminum bracket (you can't buy the pulley from the dealer anymore) was $330.00. I got a gates pulley (identical to stock) for $19.08 online! Just be sure to use loads of penatrant on the pulley bolt~its a selftapper into aluminum and will need to soak. Be sure to have a t55 torkx onhand also.
Soooooo nice and quiet now!!!
