Question Ugrading rims

Hi everyone thanks for taking the time to make these threads, they've been a lot of help!!
Can i get some help with deciding what tire to put on 16 rims. I bought three Used with 215 55 r16 tires and they won't reach the studs and they touch the strut assembly right under spring plate...

You bought wheels with the wrong offset and backspacing. If they are that far off, even spacers wont help you. They wont fit.

If the suspension is in the way, they won't fit. Buyer beware. Sellers will tell you anything.

Well thanks for the info anyways...the tire is whats touching the shock....so i thought changing the tire size would obviously make a difference

If the wheel holes wont even touch the studs, changing tire sizes wont make that much difference up.

You need to know the offset and backspacing of the stock wheels. Longer studs won't help you if you can't torque the wheel down against the hub since the tire is hitting the strut.
