well ive been going to this site now for a few months for tips and hints on my 03 neon SXT.

So i bought this car about two years ago for my wife.... "girlfriend at the time" in portland oregon and i picked it up for 1200 bucks completly stock ran like crap "they put in some fancy high spark plugs that foiled up cause the engine was stock" and a mechanic told them that he needed to drop the gas tank and replace the fuel pump and it would cost them 1200 to fix and since it was a spare car they didnt want to put that money into it, plus the stock tail lights seals went bad so the trunk leaked and the front windshield was cracked, oh ya and the interior was nasty from her kids.

So all that said i bought the car with the plans on doing the fuel pump myself, well i figured before i do that ill do a complete engine tune up plugs wires oil change and so one, well as i take the plugs out i notice one was foiled bad and the others where getting there, so after i finished the tune up i started it up took it on a test run and it has ran like a top ever since and that was almost 20,000 miles ago.

Well after about having it 8 months or so my wife decided to get a new car, so we kept that one for a spare but she still liked to drive it once in awhile so she kept liabilty on it, and what would you guess but not even a month after she took full coverage off she rear ends a truck doing 70mph and crushes the front end, so after that i had this car sitting in my carport mangled up not sure what i was going to do with it, well about a month and a half ago i decided i was going to try and fix it, since gas is on the rise and my truck loves to guzzle it, and i figured i would turn it into my own diy project told my self i would do it all on my own every part of it.

So now its got after market tail lights and headlights waiting on the halo projector fog lights to get here, just got the tinting done, soon it will be off to paint, going for a stealth look of all black with a hint of red "just the grill, brake calipers, and a red pen stripping down the side and around the rims edge and the rims will be all black too, the engine got alot of new stuff done to it like CAI, performance chip, full cat back exhaust with pacesetter header, stage 2 bahnhof clutch, dual core radiator with dual fans, strut bars, and a few other things.

and then thier is the interior that im working on right now all custom red on black interior got all the plastic and vinyl pretty much done, now on two the seats, anyways im going to stop ranting on, and will have updated pics probally tomarrow of the interior, here are a few pics from it being stock to wrecked "the damage underneath is alot worse then the pic shows" and then to how it is now at the moment, been workin on it for a month now from how it sat after it was wrecked.

Love the colors and how you did that part of the grill red I was worried someone did the same red as my grill inserts. Some eyelids would look awesome with your headlights. made a world of difference to mine. Cant wait to see new pics after the paint is done.welcome by the way.

Hi, my name is Ricky I am 21 years old. I just got a 2003 Dodge Neon and that is the extent to what I know about it. I am new to Dodge anything my last car was a 1989 Mazda MX-6. i am getting on here to find out the basics of the Neon and then where I should start off with MODs. I am currently employed as a contractor for the government, and I am a gamer in my free time(Xbox Live GT soLeLyDrStrAngE if any gamers out there)

Well it depends where you wanna start out with engine mods or exterior and interior . I have everything done to my 04 sxt but turbo . You can start out with a mopar lip kit and some nice set of wheels and tires also headlights and taillights and sidemakers and 3rd brake light and a drop of somekind. Engine mods would be intake, new plugs and wires and exhaust to begin with. Welcome and congrats on the new neon.

I have had no luck with finding a mopar lip kit for my neon, and i want to find one before i send it off to paint, and do they look good on stock height, as you can tell from my pics i havnt lowered it, but im not a big fan of lowering (before i moved here i lived in a town that lowered cars did not do well in) dont get me wrong i would love the look of my car with about a 1"-1 1/2" drop to it i think it would make the rims look better, but at the same time i got a kid now and is why i decided to fix up the the old neon cause my truck does not equal a smooth ride, and i hate driving my old ladies car ('10 toyota matrix) total chic car, so that leaves me with the neon and i want it to look good but still be a comfortable ride.

Anyways welcome and what kind of neon is it, and is it manual or auto? and what kind of xbox games you into? ive been playing black op a bit but i just picked up a knect and my wife has been hoging it playing the dancing games (she used to give me **** for playing vid games) she would call me a nerd if i spent more then a few hours a week playing.

The lip kits are hard to find try your dealership and see if they can hunt you down one. Yeah the lip kits are nice on stock height thats what mines on for now my suspension wore out and looking to bag or a nice set of srt springs with struts from my friend when he drops his srt4.
