95 Completely built motor, I drove the car in my shop and pulled the motor, changed all the sensors except the camgear sensor. All sensors are now off a 2000 motor. I put the 95 motor in my 2000 and wired everything in,everything is getting power, the motor spends over but im not getting any fire from the coil to the spark plugs andthe otermeter check engine light. battery light, and everything on the guage cluster flashes very fast like the computer is constantly resetting itself alsofuel pump is not priming fuel rail and cant get it to throw any codes. Anyone have any ideas what it could be, really needto get itrunning. Thanks

 

yes a 96 or up, the 95 was small difereces.what all came with the 95 motor

was it just the block or did you have other parts with it. ie head, cover.

 

yes it was the whole moter it ran great i drove it in my shop pulled it out and put it in my 00 and now it wont start

its one of many parts that the 1st gen had that the 2nd didnt that would trow off your pcm. take a pics of the engine and post them for me. theirs a few other flags that would of went up whith that swap. im not sure if you can get it to work right but ill try to help. ive used alot of 1st gen parts on my 2nd gen but never a complete engine.

 

is the 96 block the same as an 02??? i am going to pull a sohc engine out a 96, but i need a block to build for my 02, is it the same, so all i would have to do is put internals in it???? and do the engine swap????

 

i would suggest that you get a 2000 and up, you can swap some of the senser and even thow the block is the same the !st gen sensers will send a code to your pcm that it woulnt recognize
