Does anyone know if there is a limp mode in this make/model/yr of dodge and how to get it out of limp mode if there is? Or is my engine in need of rebuild?

Ran out of oil? The only protection against that is the owner/driver periodically checking/adding oil as needed. Technology cannot do everything!

Sorry, but engine is toast!

PCM doesn't care about oil pressure. It will let the engine run forever with zero pressure. As you discovered... Ooops.

Did you ever find what caused the misfire (or was that the other truck?) Or is the new head project part of it?

Ram was making a popping sound. When i turned . Was worried it might be the R&P. Tie rods looked a lil worn. So I figured Id try them before I dumped a couple notes on a rack. Good news is tie rod end fixed the problem. Bad news is I could only get one changed. Pounded and pounded like hell, but couldn't get one side to break free of the control arm. WTF.. Any advice????? Short of an air hammer?

BFH! Bigger Farking Hammer

Most people around here seem to NOT advise this, but you might heat it up a tad and a good whack and it'll probably pop right out.

When I had to replace the idler arm on my truck I bought a "pickle fork" to pop it out, nope, didn't work, bought a cheap **** blow torch and bam, 1 hit with the pickle fork and it came right out

R&P? What is that....because it surely isn't rack and pinion...

Even though the build sheet SAYS Rack And Pinion, it is actually recirculating ball..... Chrysler used some technical tom-foolery to call it rack and pinion. And they still stick by that. Even though NO ONE ELSE in the industry agrees with them. It's actually kinda funny.

Don't take gdstock's post as personal. If you don't get a ration of feces here on a regular basis, you might start thinking we don't love you any more.
