Short of an air hammer?

Have a look at these two tools, cheap. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...q=tie+rod+tool

I am working on my diy oil catch can and I can't get the damned fittings to fit.
I bought 3/8 in threaded barbed fittings for the catch can and they are farrrrr too small for the threads on the catch can.

Any thoughts?

i don't think we could help you without knowing what parts you bought for the catch can.

i received my light i ordered. got to wait till night time to really test them out. i like the look and shape of them but i think i might need to make some brackets to pull them up a bit higher

Kobalt 3/8 in "air filter"
And 2 Kobalt "Hose repair" kits. I only bought those because I couldn't find any 3/8 in barbed fittings, and those fittings are way too small for the filter.

sounds like you got the 1/4"npt fitting for repairing 3/8" hose. may need a smaller filter or possibly some adapters

and the kit you bought was for repairing 3/8" air line that most likely has 1/4npt fittings on the end. if you can find barbed fittings that are 3/8" npt then those would also work but i can't find them on the lowes website.

Sorry. The poke was not at you, but at Dodge as HeyYou referenced, and the build sheet infor. This is a perpetual joke here on DF.

I am a newbie to this stuff.
NPT is for the barbed ends? What is the threaded ends measured with?
