Got new shoes put on her today. 265 Big O, Big Foot A/T. This is my first truck, and I have the money so I'm spoiling her. haha

Well apparently I corrupted the download from my SCT to my truck. Now I've got a non-running truck. I'll have to wait until Monday before they can connect to my truck and get her going again. (I hope!)

Dayum, big tank+Diesel Costs=one broke puppy. I admit, I have a gasser with the 26 gallon tank, still 80+ bucks weekly for a tank's getting.........what's the term........old, lol. They'll still have to pry this truck from my cold, dead hands though

i got my engine in the sst last nite got everything hooked up,very different harness from my 01 and picked up my bolts for flexplate from dealer one issue im having kind of a big one hopefully you guys and help with is where does the cam sensor plug in on the 97? im stuck,done a couple swaps before never had this issue any ideas

Camshaft position sensor should be in the distributor underneath the cap and rotor, its just a flat circle plastic peice with a magnet on it. The pigtail should come out a notch in the distributor pointed towards the rear.

yep that's it ,but i can't figure out why there isn't a corresponding plug off the wire harness

i had the same issue when i did my swap, i finally found it hiding below the back side of the block. Keep looking, its there somewhere, or it got cut off somehow. it should run along with the drivers side fuel injector harness if i remember correctly.

i will be working on it again tonight hopefully its there and the guy i bought it from didn't cut it

if he did i may have a plug with both sides of the harness laying around
