Well, the trans temp light never came on, and the sludge was very fine. And I can't check the cooler lines and cooler for clogs. Just gonna have to go with it.

As weak as the 46Rx is if he overheated GOOD it would have been rebuilt by now.

New filter, pan gasket, check valve delete and button it all back up!

I have yet to see a 2nd gen dodge truck turn the trans temp light on even when critically overheated.

How many 2nd gens do you own?

Many people on here have had their trans temp lights come on, granted, the trans was done, but that's besides the point.

And you've driven them with an overheated trans?

What I'm getting at is that you're making a blanket statement that may or may not be true in your experience.

I've been trying to line up my aftermarket fenders. Also when I shut the door the mirror decided to magically fall out of the housing and shatter on the cement!

In my experience with our dodge, the trans temp light NEVER came on, even when it should have. That experience holds true for many of my friends, and the tranny shop I trust also said most Dodges never turn the light on around here, something we suppose is due to gravel dust getting in the trans through the breather and then clogging the temp sender.
