Took it into Les Schwab for 2 new Toyo Open Country AT II. They discovered that my front wheel bearings were shot (1/2" play on the driver's side.) No wonder my handling seemed weird! Not to mention that my brakes hardly worked every time I turned right. It turns out the piston was bottoming out in the bore, rendering the brake pressure practically non-existant! $1,280.38 out-the-door. I am resisting looking at Rock Auto to find out how much the bearing hubs *should* have cost.

Sorry Mods but a off topic Q

You seem to understand oils, just what makes this so good? Don't get me wrong I read all I could about it but some was just over my head.
Well, from what I can tell by the UOA's I've been seeing, it's nice and high in zinc (a typical anti-wear additive). I've heard whispers about it being a great synthetic oil, so I can't quite speak from experience, but it looks great on paper. Have you been using it long Mark?

I just spent $170 this morning, shipped to my door, for a nice raybestos wheel bearing. Moog was just a little higher but higgher shipping. They charged you nearly $1300??! Thats highway robbery!! You sir need to do your own work Tis hard to learn on your own, but grab a haynes manual and down the FSM in the general discussion, I've been teaching myself and saving tons of money!

edit: Nevermind didnt see tires were in there to! Of course if your in America they were probably a third what they cost here in the frozen north....

All I have left is the pistons, crankshaft, cam, timing chain and cover left on my motor, she's coming all good. Pistons are in good condition and all the gaskets looked good to, no leaks by the looks of them.
