Installed new brakes and replaced 2 brake lines. Put the GM 3500 cylinders in the back, and calipers / pads for a Ram 2500 in the front. Should really help my brakes!

Don't expect the turbo to have survived that either. (time for a BIGGER one!)

No, it's a single piston, just bigger. I just got the truck and the brakes were not to my liking, seems like I have to step on the brake quite a bit to get it to stop. After all the work yesterday, it's better, but still not where I feel it should be. Had a guy helping me yesterday, he suspects that my Master Brake Cylinder or Power Booster is going out...

Darn. I was hoping I could upgrade to the dual piston calipers without having to change anything else. So much for that thought.

Of course, my brakes are pretty good in any event. It is REALLY easy to lock all four when I am empty.

What brake pads did you use? And did you resurface the rotors?

Yeah, too bad. Double pistons would be nice!

I used this caliper http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...898_0248587883

and I'm not home right now to look at the box, but I think I used these brake pads http://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Ca...39M_0408837386

I also used brand new cross drilled rotors from Summit.

There was a noise coming from the power booster / MBC area, that's why there is a suspected problem there. At 190,000 miles, it wouldn't surprise me.

Well, those are good pads..... Yeah, check out the brake booster, and see what's up. If front and rears are both working, the M/C is probably fine.
