Finally got the front end back together and lined up. The replacement bearing for the steering brace showed up earlier this week so I was able to finish the redhead install. New box, new pump, new pass side ball joints, and fresh bearing in the brace. That sector shaft ain't going anywhere.
Truck steers like my Dakota used to. Turn the wheel and the truck follows, no wandering and no bump steer. Life is good.
Checked the oil in the 97 this morning after 1500 miles of an oil change (zero usage and only slightly discolored). This remains one of the best running gassers I've ever owned. K.
