What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

I sold the cab off of my parts truck yesterday. The buyer decided to pull it off last night about 10:00, he got it on his trailer about 11:45. Lots of fun. He loaded up an engine hoist in the back of his trailer, had a come along going from the hoist to the front of the trailer. He had a couple of 2x4s strapped in the top of the cab (going from top of both doors), and strapped onto the end of the engine hoist. The wood on the hoist was then strapped to the wood in the top of the cab. He lifted it up with the hoist and pulled it back into his trailer with the come along. He tore his hand up real good in the process, along with running into a lot of obstacles getting it off the frame and into his trailer. Glad it was him and not me. He thinks he's going to take an ext cab off a 1997 Ram and put it on a 1991 single cab Ram with a Cummins engine. Sounds like he has a lot of work to do.

I've been using it a lot the past week mostly for hauling since we're renovating my sister's house.
I sourced my squealing and coolant leak to a bad water pump and figured while I was that far in I might as well replace the timing chain. I ordered the Cloyes C3028X set from Oreilly's for only $36 and it came with a lifetime warranty, I was pleasantly surprised. They didn't have the timing set on hand so I'll be picking that up tomorrow and the water pump should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. Also on my way back home Friday my Dad was driving along side me and said he saw blue smoke coming from my right header. I guess its time to take action and deal with the plenum.

This post made more sense once I read you are in kentucky.

^^Jolly...............Kentucky leads the nation in RAT RODS titled.
Cleaned inside the middle bay of the barn in case of severe weather. I then can get some trucks under cover, (Photos with farm truck). Today the first bay gets it, (which allows for severe weather protection of all rolling stock). K.

I was meaning more along the lines of how backwoods hillbilly that whole story made the buyer sound. Sounds like he had no idea what he was doing, then caused more damage to his hand than the cab was worth, all for a project that is not going to be nearly as simple as he probably expects.

Ok, gotcha. Yeah, it was pretty hillbilly, but I was glad to be done with the cab, and it was his responsibility to pull the cab. I think he tore up his come along as well. The cab was also too wide for his trailer. He lost several square inches of skin off his hand, glad it was him. I don't think his project is going to go as he plans. He has a 1991 Dodge Ram D250 2wd with a 12v Cummins and a NV4500. It's a single cab long bed. He thinks he's going to turn it into a 2nd gen Ext. Cab Short Bed (using his 1991 frame). All I know is it's not my problem.
