The drivers side is the one that is bad. Do you need an axle seal installer tool or is there another way that isn't so expensive?

it should only cost about 25$. you need the 14$ seal, a tube of rtv and some new differential fluid.

you can use a 1 3/4" socket and a hammer to drive the new seal in. there isn't a stop for that seal so you will have to measure the distance from the old one to the outside of the axle tube first so you won't drive it too far in.

go by these and you won't have any trouble.

don't forget to use penetrating fluid on the hub nuts (1 11/16") and bolts (14mm 12 point).
pull the caliper mounting brackets off (21mm bolts) with the calipers attached and hang them from the shock towers with rope.
check out the u joints while you have the axles out.
pull the intermediate shaft out of the carrier or it will never come out.
and lube all contact points on the hubs with anti-seize before reassembly.
oh, and make sure you have a 3/4" drive breaker bar with a cheater pipe before taking the hub nuts off. and have a torque wrench that will go over 180 ft-lbs.
