Good work on the dash! Did it just fit over the old one, or did you have to take your whole dash out?

This was a complete replacement dash. Not just a cap.

The new dash seems very sturdy and is flexible too. At first I thought it was too dark but once it was in the truck it matches perfectly.

Same as these ones:

Factory heated leather seats.

Only a cubby hole on trucks that didn't come with the option.

Whenever there is a cubby hole somewhere on a dash...it's not for your convenience. It's to take place of optional equipment that wasn't installed. Cheaper to make the same dash for all of them and put a blank piece in than to make two separate dash designs to accommodate optional equipment.

New battery time... The old one was, as the new one is, one of NAPA's 84 month batteries but it made it only 49 months because I got stupid and put some of those massive gold plated audio geek terminals on and the mass wiped out the post seals. It was nice having extra holes for add-on wiring, but not at the price of replacing batteries twice as often.

Lesson learned.

On my S10 I use those top and side post combination batteries. S10 (Chebby) uses side post normally, but I added a top post connector for hooking up my speaker amp to

trying to hook multiple things to a side post on a chebby is quite difficult... add top post and it's no sweat

Tested my 4 wheel drive today on a dirt road. (as I live on one, it's really easy to find.) Discovered that nope, doesn't work. So, time to dig into the vacuum system, and the CAD once again.... Posi-lok is lookin' pretty tasty about now.....

do it! my truck came with one love it. 4x4 never fails even when I had a huge vacuum leak and had no cruise or vent control for a while: I still had 4x4!

also the ability to have low range 2wd for backing up trailers is nice when you have a manual trans so you don't have to burn up your clutch to go slower...
