On Friday we went over to our a/c guy's shop so he could evacuate and re-charge our A/C system in Purpl, in 32* weather. I swear the guy at Advance gave us a really funny look when we bought the refrigerant and oil! Whatever, I go to KOI, a real parts store! And while we had the vaccum pump hooked up, we helped him fix a problem with his beater Chrysler Town & Country. We cant figure what the hell is wrong with it!!! I took a ride in it and it wouldnt even shift out of first gear (But it is an engine problem). He said "**** it!" I'll just take it down to the Dodge dealer and have them hook up the computer and see what the hell is wrong with it and fix it himself.

Then went home and took some degreaser to the valve covers and replaced a vaccum hose. Found that the low-side A/C valve core was leaking and hissing. Turned out that we had a High-side cap on it and it had bent the little stem on the valve core. I just took a small screwdriver and bent that stem back in place. I really didnt wanna have him de-charge the system again to replace a stupid valve core. I should'a done that when I had the chance. Then when I was done with that I continued de greasing the Pass. side of the motor. I found that the #8 spark plug was only in hand tight, so I took all the spark plugs out on the passenger side, re-gapped them, and torqued them to 30 ft lbs. This turned out bad.

Then today we were going to the junkyard. Got ready and everything, then headed out. We get about 3/4 mile down the road and the motor starts cutting out and missing. So we stopped because I thought I might have not put one of the spark plug wires in the right place. They were all fine, so we went back to the house and parked it. Jumped in the reliable screamin S-10 and went down to Advance Auto Parts. Got 8 new Champion RC12LC4 (OEM plugs) for $15.00. Took out all 8 of the Autolite 3923s that I had in there and replaced them. Took a ride and the Champions fixed the misfire and made the truck idle and run smoother. They even made the exhaust note a little raspier!
