Picked up some new tires:




This below was the cause of my replacement!!! Yes that is a ruler and it is 7 INCHES across. The garage found it INSIDE my tire when they took off the old one. It was the largest and strangest thing they had EVER found inside of a tire before. It is a chunk of a truck rim from a Semi trailer. Lucky for me, it blew out a rear tire and not a front one...

i worked in a tire shop for 6 months and we did everything from bike tires to skidder tires (400lbs each with rim), and i never saw anything like that

 

dayum. glad youre alright though.

anyways, my HIDs came in today, 6000K was exactly what i wanted. bright white. thanks hidextra. though i had a bit of a problem with the low beams, and they emailed me the revers instrustions for changing the pins on the h/l connector, well i pulled it apart only to find my low beam pin had been bent up inside the connector instead of being in it. so i bent it back, pluged it back in, and voila, it worked.

 

^ hey how loud is your exhaust when you're sitting in the cab ? iv got mine cut off right at the back of the cab and it's loud enough you cant hear your self think, and my wife told me she dont wanna ride in it untill it's fixed so i need to extent it further back so it's not directly under the cab.

 

Put fuel in her...again=/ I only got 170miles out of this tank! I can normally do 200-220(my record is 250).

I will put more detailed stuff in my "swamp fox" post when everything irons out. First off I picked this up for $200 from a shop going out of business. Guy bought it painted it and put in on display never mounted. Guy did a good job but paint doesn't go with my truck. Buddy of mine owns a body shop and is going to paint it and then have his crew put it on.

Also picked up 2 35x12.5x17 Nitto Mud grapplers. I know I will get flamed for this but I did some measuring and they are 2 inches taller and 1 inch wider than my 285's I have now. When I replaced my front bumper with my ranchhand it took off nearly 8" because it doesn't go down as far in the front and that is where a lot of tire rub comes from. Anyway I have a ton of room with my 285's and no lift. So I am gonna install my 2" level kit and see if I can stuff the 35's on there. That will save me the lift kit money so I can do the gears.

Also got the material I am gonna pull my headliner out and use it as a mold and make a fiberglass replacement so I can make a custom overhead console for my CB,GPS,switches and some lights.

Also gonna take my rear bumper off sand it down and use spray bedliner coating to make it black, hook up rear lights, hook up my front lights and replace my radiator and crank position sensor.

ALSO got my Hemifever SCT in the mail last night gonna put that in

SOOOO I got a lot of work to do!!!
