Just bought it earlier this week. Cleaned it up, oiled hinges, greased latches, replaced underhood work-light bulb and battery tie-down. Tomorrow it gets an oil change, oil and air filters and I try to figure out why the e-brake warning light is on....even though it seems to be fully released and the fluid level is full. Suspecting switch. Maybe flush the brake fluid and check rear shoes and front pads.

Adjusted my steering box after about 6 months of talking about it. Followed the link and still have a small amount of play but that must be due to some other problem. Supposed to be 45 and sunny here in michigan... What else to do?

I tightened my steering box a couple months ago too, but I don't think I tightened it enough, still lots of play

I overtightened mine at first but backed it off a 1/4 turn, good as it will get. I noticed some play in the center joint on the steering shaft but at almost $500 each, I'll deal with it for now.

Also painted my drums black. All I had was 500 deg. Engine paint (gloss black) we'll see how it holds up. Better than rust for now.

Got my spare off road rim and tow straps in the mail today. That company does a good job on refinishing their wheels, this thing is nice and shiney.
