I wondered where you went Splat!
Welcome back.

I did the plugs and wires yesterday.
Didn't do the cap and rotor since my dad wanted my truck running again.
Old plugs were nasty, dunno how the pcm wasn't dropping codes left and right.
Starts much smoother now, has more power. Might take it out today to run some errands, see how well it drives.

Finished tune-up! MSD coil and wires, E3 plugs, cap and rotor. Just took a quick run up the road... wow what a difference! I can't wait to see if this pig actually starts up nicer now! For anyone curious, I will be posting changes to fuel efficiency over the coming weeks. I expect to go from REALLY CRAPPY, to SLIGHTLY LESS CRAPPY.

Friday I sold my drop in bedliner to someone on CL. Now to fix all the damage, mostly on the bed top and tailgate.
Took off the vent visors for my side windows because they'd started falling off and they looked stupid. Always hated those things.
Today I prepped my taillight bezels for painting.

Ordered a new stainless steering shaft that actually supports the 3inch body lift. Found a hell of a deal on ebay from a manufacturer... Also bought the front frame brace to help with the sloppy steering and wander... Found the rebuilt power steering is cheaper at autozone than on ebay... I hope to get her tore down and back together before next weekend. Can't wait till driving the truck isn't an exhausting experience.

Some of the rebuilt units aren't any better than what is in your truck now. They replace some bearings and seals, and call it 'rebuilt'...... doesn't address the problem of wear on the gears, which is where a fair bit of slop comes from. Better plan is to get a NEW box.... not rebuilt/remanufactured.
