So far, i have installed a 1999 Dodge Ram steering wheel into my 95, installed stock fog lights button, got the o/d button on the shifter to work along with the one on the dash, installed 2 sets of fog lights, ontop of bumper and in the slots, cleaned the rust off the front bumper and oiled it before putting plastic cap back on, might change rear bumper today as well,

Removed the vinyl fooring from my interior.
Cleaned the foor pan and got rid of the antifreeze on the passengers side.
Flushed the insulation with water on the flooring to get the antifreeze out of it.
Removed the seat belts from and cleaned the seat mounts.
I pick my seats from the upholstery shop Friday.
Now I have to decide if I should reinstall the vinyl or drop in some plushy carpet.

How does the vinyl hold up to boots grinding sand into it? I've been debating getting some for quite a while now but I don't want to get it if the stuff won't hold up to some abuse.

I have floor mats that I use, but the vinyl still looks good after 10 years. It hasn't torn and there's not even any worn spots. This is a factory piece, I can't speak for aftermarket quality.
The best part is that liquids don't soak in and are easily blotted up or scrubbed out. Dust and sand can be easily blown out, swept up or even sprayed out with a hose.

The disadvantages are, as I discovered, the retention of liquids under the vinyl, and it screams utility truck vs. plushy carpet.
I'm not sure I'm ready to change to carpet yet. Had carpet been in the truck when I bought it, it would be ruined by now.

Got It!
Just picked up a 2000 1/2 ton 4x4 5 speed 5.2 beast (kinda). I'm not sure how much lift it has exactly but I'm guessing maybe 3", it has bald 305/70r16's on it now.

And it's green btw.

That'll be a good looking truck once you get it cleaned up, Nickell.

Welcome to DF!

*EDIT*
Forgot!
I didn't do anything TO the Ram yesterday, but attempted to clean up the giant spot from the trans leak.

Those pics sure made me homesick for the desert, and especially going up to Mt Lemmon before the fire.
Enjoy your truck, it's a nice find!

Thanks for the compliments guys, the body has definitely been worked and it is a 50 footer but it runs and drives great.
I took the pics at a little desert area by the wash when I took my dog out to play, but I can't wait until i get new tires (285/75r16 Treadwrights most likely) with some tread so I can really get you guys some good pics of the trails in Sierra Vista (what's not burnt atleast).
