The Liberty's didn't deserve to have the Jeep badge on 'em. My brother had a Jeep commander SUV, and that thing SUCKED off-road. Way to heavy, terrible gearing, not enough power.

Got about 16-18" No prob though, got to try out my recently fixed 4x4 issue in the snow. This thing is a beast in the snow, unstoppable.

Talking T/V (kickdown) Cable

The plastic clip that secures the T/V cable to the throttle cable broke, so I devised a way to "repair" it.

I drilled the plastic cable end on the side where it "clips" onto the linkage pin just large enough to accept the pin. I then used a brad (yes, a small nail) pushed in from the end of the plastic to where it goes behind the pin, and bent it around like a little "C" clip.
Seems to be working good without any restrictions on the rotating movement during throttle use.

I had an 04 Liberty, and it was a fantastic small family SUV. Went anywhere we needed to - rain, snow, offroad, you name it. Was it as capable as a Wrangler - of course not, but in just about every category, it blew the doors off minivans and most other SUVs that we compared it with. Only reason we got rid of it was that we needed more room.

Replaced a U joint... and remembered that I didn't replace my O2 sensor when I replaced my motor (old one was burning 2 quarts a week)... pulled that out and I was able to write my name with the soot on it... Now its temporarily removed until payday!

I have a small chip missing out of mine as well. I put some two part epoxy on it to hold in the fluid for now. I have some other issues to tackle first.

However today i dropped the ****ty Rear bumber i had on my truck. Gunna drive with it off till i can afford a new one. That thing was rusted HORRIBLY!
