What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?

Today...
Plugs, wires, VC gaskets (got bored and painted the VC's as well).
Actually cleaned the engine bay (was covered in old PS fluid from a high pressure line blow-out).
Tested/Inspected both O2 sensors (both carbon fouled).
Found out where that damned noise was coming from. Leaf Spring bushings are GONE...!
This weekend will be a different story.

Plenum kit should be here sometime this week. That's why this weekend will be a different story.
No telling what else I'll get into while I have the intake out the way...while it easy access, I'll more than likely change out the cap/rotor, water pump, and fan clutch too.

Good job, keep it up.

Well yesterday I washed my pickup.
And it rained.
Then a guy I work with decided to power wash his spray rig covered in Prowl herbicide, which looks like freaking mustard, in 25+ MPH winds, and drifted EVERY BIT onto my pickup. Luckily its wiping off, so another hand wash should remove it all. I figure it just wasn't a good day to wash my pickup.
Today though, went better. I finally got to change my differential fluid over to synthetic Amsoil. Cleaned everything spotless, internals looked great.
Also installed sensor and wiring for my transmission temperature gauge. Installed into a test port for the time being. I know its not accurate, but just lining up the wiring and doing a simple test with the engine running, neutral, it was showing like 250°F. I sure as hell hope it wasn't that hot. Anyways, I ran the wiring and tied it all together, just to use the gauge. I still need to wire to ignition switch and also find a gauge pod.

Made my Ram work today. Moving dad's tractor and some implements.
This is the first time I drove the Ram more than around town (small town at that). And first time at night, so Glow Shift Gauges were VERY noticeable. AF gauge seemed to spend a lot of itme like this:
And even with a load on trailer, trans temp was pretty much between 140 to 145. Went to about 160 when going though tine towns with radar guns....
Did not like the way the tranny shifted under a load (OD off with trailer....just in case anyone is wondering...) So I stopped by my youngest son's house before starting the 240 mile trip home and changed out governor solenoid for the Borg Warner one. (Yes, I had it and the tools in the truck.....and old Eagle Scout...still believe in being prepared!) It made a pretty noticeable difference.
Also slapped vacuum pump on system to draw it down before charging. Discovered High Side Schrader valve leaks drawing air in. Got to replace valve.
