Painted the spare hold down...for now.

 

Drove it to the lake, about 130 miles round trip. Took almost a whole gallon of ATF, lol.

I did not like the little distortiuon I saw in the reflection on the driver side front fender last nigh, so I sanded it down. Buffed it this afternoon to a mirror like finish, then polish and wax this afternoon. Looks slicker than s***.

Didn't polish or wax any of the rest of it. Washed, clay bar, polish and waxed wife's car. Started roughing up bed for spray in liner.

 

My buddy and I started at 7am this morning trying to avoid some of the heat, got it done finally at about 5pm working at a casual pace.

New rs5000's all the way around:


Did a rear diff oil change after that, didnt snap any pics. Old oil looked like pond water coming out, refilled with Valvoline 75w-90 synthetic.

Installed this, been without a radio for over a year:


Next day off Im gonna give the trans some love.. WIX trans filter, drain plug, Borg Warner sensor and solenoid, and do an oil change with a WIX filter:

Went to the junkyard, and found a late 90's grand cherokee with a 5.2L in it. For today, pulled off the fuel rails, to get mounted on my spare modified manifold. Next saturday i'm gonna go back, and try to get the valve covers if they're still there, and get them painted red as well. Buddies got a hughes plenum plate from his old manifold, that I'm gonna get, and bolt onto my spare manifold. Then I'm almost done putting this modified manifold together, for a nice easy swap, when the day comes. Hoping to find some of the ford 4-hole injectors, to toss in it. Anyone happen to know what vehicles I can look for at the junkyard to find those?? I looked around for a mark llv or lllv, but couldn't find one, but I was going to pull the e-fan from it, if I could find one. I'll look harder next saturday when I'm there. Heard those were close to the best efans out there.

 

Don't use a taurus fan, they pull ridiculous amounts of amps. Something around 100 amps at startup...

 

Went and looked at a 12 valve for a upcoming project. and as i was leaving i realized how easy it would be to do some donuts.. So I started doing more while trying to record it.. It was fun.. Wish i woulda done more but a car came.. OH well lol

 

Maybe since he just bought the truck it still has the temporary tag in the window?? just waiting on the new tag? MAYBE
