What Did You Do To Your 2ND GEN RAM Today?
You people are brutal!!!
Dlyter I am gonna do it when I feel like it. That might be this weekend though... Depends how much the stuff is. I'm really trying to save my money right now.
Drove out to Longview Discount Tire again today, they replaced the driver front tire (apparantly it was bad) and sent me on my way. The majority of the vibrations were gone, but there was still some in the rear passenger side. So i turned around and went back (visit number 3, ugh) and they replaced that one too. Now it drives great! Well, as great as a 17 yr old 3/4 ton 4x4 with original shocks (which push out on their own when compressed) and majorly wrong gearing can.

KEEP ON RAMMIN
KEEP ON RAMMIN
Today I debadged my 05 1500, to find mis-matched paint color on the passenger's door. Leaving me with an outline of "RAM 1500". So, in an effort to not let the truck win I tried rubbing compound, 2000 grit wet sand paper and some good old fashioned elbow grease. Only to lose the battle. So I took the emblems, cleaned them up nice, sanded them, hit 'em with some satin black paint and re-3M taped them back onto their home. Looks pretty decent, evem involved my girlfriend into putting one side's emblems on. Got a few pics:
Also, here's a frontal for all those SRT8 Hood fans (this truck is a daytona so the hood came with it. Previous owner took off everything else Daytona beside the hood and serial#).

Pulled the steering gearbox off (the one I rebuilt in October). Seal at pitman arm blew out today. Gearbox gave no indication of any problem, just noticed it started growling at me after lunch. Nooil on garage floor, but when I got home I did see the trail in the driveway. New seal tomorrow......As Rosan Rosanna Dana used to say, "It's always something!"
