its ridiculous, honestly! just went up another 30 bucks in 2008. its the city fees that get you.

sounds like you guys are getting hosed. my 81, 93 and snowmobile only cost me $326 to plate them for 2 years. apparently this September prices are suppose to go up which is why i had re-plated them for 2 years.
Moved my family from Texhoma to Amarillo pulling a decent sized bumper pull trailer fully loaded, as well as my bed. I was nearly on my overloads. Drove 60 MPH with O/D off, coasting downhill, activating water/methanol going uphill, 285/75R16's with 3.55's, and I averaged 8.75 MPG. Think 4.10s would help? Lol
Just a little. lol

As for the registration convo, I just paid the state of Texas $65 for my registration. My dad's was $63....his weighs all of 700lbs less then mine. >.<
Installed a set of Procomp ES9000's on my truck. Paid $135 with boots shipped from 4wheel Parts, they had a buy 3 get one free deal on the low end procomp shocks. the ES9000's are the Nitrogen charged ones, and they seemed to make a major improvement over the original 1995 Chrysler shocks haha.

They seemed pretty similar by description, the difference being nitro vs hydro. I don't know enough about shocks to tell you the difference, but for only $2 more per shock, I saw no reason not to get the ES9000's. BTW to anyone else reading, the buy 3 get one free deal for ES1, 3, and 9000's is still running at www.4wheelparts.com.
I'm so glad to see gas prices go down enough I can put 93 octane in my truck.. It's getting tired of 87~ 89 octane..I have to reset my computer once a month running that crap..
