Leave it off. The law requires you have two mirrors, nowhere does it say where they have to be..... I actually like the unobstructed view without the mirror there better.
I'm completely opposite, I WANT that rear-view mirror, can't function without it. I aim it slightly downward so I catch a bit of my tailgate in it, so I can judge distance from my tailgate to whoever's riding my a$$

Yeah, that IS what the law says. But I have the power mirror and there is a wire harness hanging from the roof, so it's still obstructed.

^THAT. lol I actually use mine to back up, it's nice really. lol
I can't function without it, I find it more difficult to drive without the mirror there.
Back in the day... when I had my 'bird, the inside mirror fell off.... I drove it for a few days like that, waiting for the weekend to fix it.... and got used to not having it, and I REALLY liked the way it opened up the view thru the windshield... I never bothered to put it back on. (not like I could see a lot out of it in any event......)
The mirror on the truck is still hanging there, but, I don't use it often. Mostly use the side mirrors, or, turn my head to back up.
Yesterday was install day for new HV oil pump. Today is pull the intake, dizy and install the hardened oil pump shaft. I am not happy with my currant oil psi so I am starting an other motor build (short block) for the fall. Also ordered a new 7qt oil pan and pick-up tube.
Detailed the interior and did a massive re-organization of my toolbox. Actually thought about taking it out, but then I wouldn't have anywhere to keep the stuff that's in it.....
