That does look pretty ugly. If you buff, I think polishing compound would be less aggressive and better than a heavier compound to keep from eating off too much clear.

I cleaned out condensate drain from AC this evening as the pass side carpet got slightly damp today. Noticed tranny fluid dripping from lower radiator hose and a light coat of fluid beneath it. Small drip coming from fitting going into radiator at quick connect. Fluid level still good, so it is very recent. Looks like replacing hose and/or connector this weekend....

Quad, I feel like you haven't been having the best of luck as of late... That sucks about the van/bungee. Make sure to show us how it cleans up

I never knew a bungee cord could do that...looks like someone threw shredded tires at the van.

Got ANOTHER rearview mirror repair kit yesterday, have yet to put it up.

Drive around with just the base glued to the windshield for a few days before hanging all the weight of the mirror off of it.

Super pumped about my new job. (This does involve my truck, but lil story.) Been bustin my a$$ driving and moving furniture for Bekins moving company for nearly 8 years now. Tis a 20 mile roundtrip drive to work everyday. Was using 3/4 tank or more per week depending if I drove anywhere outside of work. So approx $60/ wk in gas. Just started 2 mondays ago, driving a cement mixer for a company 2 miles from my house. So I've been driving to and from work for the last 2 weeks on 1/2 tank. It's nearly empty now, but I figure I'm saving about $40/wk just in gas. That's like a dollar/ hr raise, on top of the better wages/ benefits I'm now getting. And also, much less wear and tear on the dodge, on the 5 minute drive to work. :-) Also hoping with the better wages, I'll be able to afford to start putting some more money into the ol' Ram. Can't wait til I get the first check, so I can just fill the tank, and not have to worry about it for 3-4 weeks.

<---- Where's the cement mixer smiley? Oh, and can I change my name to Consolidated01ram? jk.

Today I weighed my truck empty for my DIY move home (military pays per pound... See next sentence ). So without a tailgate, spare tire, or anything in it, and with a little over 1/4 tank, it weighed in at 5260 lbs. For a 8800lb GVWR 3/4 ton 4x4, I think that's pretty darn light. Some of you 1/2 ton guys are weighing over 5500 with 2wd trucks because they are club cabs, right?

Most likely. But I keep probably 150# of tools and have a 225# winch bolted in the back, too.

I usually wait til the next day to hang it, but I will try this too.
I am also going to try the sanding trick on the mount....it's too slick me thinks.
