It is indeed a 2nd Gen. I believe its a 95-96 model, but I'm not certain. I think the main issue people have with the wiring doing the swap is getting the tach to work.

Installed modified VB today. Shifting is better, and TCC lockup is more noticeable. Gove pressure is about 8% to 10% higher.

Since I originally checked mpg and was getting 11 mpg, I have added e-fan, replaced O2 sensor, HS rockers, and modified VB. Will check again on next 2 tanks of gas to see if any improvements. (Oh, yes, added blue stripe.....heehee)

Also had to replace radiator on Yota today as it cracked on plastic header last night - there's $180 I had not planned on spending....

If you don't mind swapping to the older dash you can swap everything over and have a 100% working truck for free

Drove to work and around town today with a silly grin on my face - trans shift is better, crisper as well as TCC lockup! I like.

Started to color sand the roof and picked up tint for rear window. Washed and dried and parked back in garage. (darn tree sap!)

Ya know, if your modified VB holds up and continues to please, you could start selling modified VB's! I'd buy one

Stalling at stops may be as simple to fix as a 2 dollar throttle body gasket, and a can of carb cleaner. Prolly the IAC well is clogged full of junk. Have a look, see what things look like.
