No, I wasn't going to use used ones from the bone yard, and my parts store had them on back order. Was going to be 1 week before I had them in my hands. (And no, I wont go to a different parts store. When $20 buys me new drums and rotors, and the pads and shoes were free.)
I rarely tow anything, and to me, my truck stops well enough.

took the axles for the jeep out of the bed (the pinion on the front was leaking and now i have gear oil in my bed, damn that stuff smells funny)
and hauled 5 round bales to the barn...in one trip...

I kept the "skunk" off my ride!

Explanation of term usage below.

About 9pm yesterday gotta call. A buddy that sometimes fishes called and wanted to try and find a few cats so I threw a couple of chairs and rods in the back. It was my trucks first trip down to the river with me. And though we didn't catch much I did manage a small channel. So even though I was using cat gear instead of the long(fly) rod it was a success.

All so brought home a new LCD for the living room before I went.

there is a 3rd gen with gold plated truck nutz at my local fire station
all i did was drive to the farm, work on a tractor, almost puked, then worked on my restoration project, then drove home

Oil change.
Checked A/C system pressure. Pressure was correct, guess I just have a weak blower...

Day two went great. I took a thermometer to my a/c vent (driver's side - the furthest away from the a/c motor) and within 2 minutes or less, it read 45 degrees. That freon from Big Lots ... that gasket from Auto Zone ... [grin] did the trick. What an unbelievably cheap fix.

Getting ready to go trucking and move some office furniture, then paint. Self-(un)employment is the life!
