Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it won't work with my current tach . I'll end up either using the tach out of my Ford cluster (it will work immediately with my LA ignition without the need for the whole Ford cluster!), or buying a aftermarket tach.

 

have you tried hook the current tach up to the negative side of the coil?

 

You should make a one off cluster.

 

I checked with my Dodge specialist, the PCM send a varying 5V signal to the tach, so it won't work on the coil hookup. It'd fry it.

I'm probably gonna make a custom cluster.
