Got the grass mowed, looks like crap. Thick and wet, but the sun doesn't look promising today...
Now I gotta figure out the best approach to hill mowing with a riding mower....

Sideways, hanging off the side for ballast....thats what I do. I tried the up and down thing....didn't work out too well, maybe if I had a 4x4 lawn tractor!!! lol

Pretty much. It's more fun doing that with a 45hp tractor on the side of a dam.
I would agree with you there. Unless my truck saw extreme duty service, and the four speed was pretty much bullet-proof..... I don't see the point.
And only 2wd..... Would love to have one, but, 4x4 conversion would be first order of the day.
IIRC it is based on the bullet proof NP204 used on Ford trucks, and yes they are bullet proof, rumour has it Dodge was going to introduce a two speed rear axle to match but never did.
