Sounds like an air meter.

If you can get the brand and model of your engine, I'd advise that you do some reading on how the carb operates under normal circumstances.

Need to set the float level in the carb, not hard to do turn it upside down make sure the bottom of the float is level, if not adjust the little tab on the float by the main needle. There is also the possibility that the float has a hole in it if its copper or white, or a saturated black float.

Yup, I can get the model number.

It's a Kohler 14Hp.

Seems like a damn good little motor, just gotta get the carb issue figured out...

Alright. I'll check it out tomorrow if I have time.

Luckily I was able to get everything mowed today

BTW if you need part numbers I can get them easy for you, I've got catalogs about that stuff...

Kohler motors have been around forever and are good motors. Give me the ser number and the model number (off the little metal tab on the motor) so I can check out what you are playing with.
