Well, how clean you get it depends on how much you love your fuel pumps...

considering my injection pump's well being depends on my fuel pump surviving and not getting clogged...I run clean fuel and monitor fuel pressure with a gauge right on the steering column.

also run 2 micron fuel filters in it and add 2-cycle oil to the fuel 128:1 mix to add lubricity to the fuel that diesel is lacking now a days... just like when they stripped lead from gasoline back in the day lubricity went down and the older engines didn't like it...same is true with ultra low sulfer diesel...the process of stripping the sulfer out of the diesel has left it lacking in fuel lubricity and older engines with fuel cooled/lubricated injection pumps like mine, don't like the new fuel...

so I go to wally world and buy 2-cycle oil by the gallon and pour 1/4 gallon in per fill up which is usually 32 gallons a fillup. comes out to 128:1 mix or 1oz/gal

v8 S10 and luv trucks are still all over the place!

tons are even in the pro-stock and super gas classes.

I hate the indexed classes of racing. delay box racing is just stupid IMO...

I get about 38-40 mpg out of my cruzes little 1.6 turbo motor, epa estimate was 34. They just released a turbo deisel version. Thats supposed to get 46 mpg on the highway and im betting I could get 50-52, so they are finally coming around to the deisels. Its also supposed to boast like 270 ftlb torque, only available ina automatic though as of now.

MPG? just got ride from a 2002 Saturn sc2 5spd, i was getting 37 mpg constantly, we got up to 41 with only the wife and the kids on the car, was good to save gas but a pain to maintain it running, replaced more parts on it in 8 months than in 12 years on my Dodge
